Ashford had a visit from Jamie Staff and members of the USA cycling team. A great ride on the North Downs followed by frolics at the stadium.

Although the weather wasn't great... a few ATC decided it would be safer to fall off in the snowy forest rather than the icey roads.

ANNUAL AGM
FRIDAY 9th DECEMBER 2011
Dear Club Members,
The club AGM, prize giving and social evening will be on the 9th December at the ASHFORD RUGBY CLUB, Canterbury Road, Kennington, Ashford TN24 9QB from 7.30pm onwards with the AGM starting at 8pm.
I am very pleased to confirm that Simon Harris, Sports Projects Manager & Active Ashford Coordinator from Ashford Borough Council, has kindly agreed to come along and present the prizes during the evening.
Kate Austen from Pod Plus will be bringing along a stand to remind you of the discounts available to club members.
The Bike Warehouse from Faversham www.the-bike-warehouse.com have also kindly agreed to come along to the AGM and will have some new season tri bikes for you to have a look at. They will also be announcing a discount scheme that will be available to club members.
Food will be provided on the evening and it would be great to have a really good turnout of members. Family and friends are also more than welcome to attend. In order to get a numbers for the catering please let me know if you are aiming to attend and the number of family/friends you will be bringing with you.

Thanks to all who have already sent me your votes for the following member-voted awards. Here's a quick reminder for those of you that are still deliberating. You don't need to vote in each category if you don't want to.
Some of the categories are being hotly contested so a few more votes would help decide on the winners. Please email me with your nomination for each category.

ADE'S RECOVERY
SATURDAY 19th NOVEMBER 2011
Everyone was over the moon today including myself as I haven't stopped smiling all day!!! It was very easy and very comfortable walking with the prosthesis... the socket was a perfect fit which is 10 times more important than the actual shell of the prosthesis. The prosthesis has been taken away again for some minor alterations to improve the foot flextion but I will have it back Monday:) Then its mine and I might be able to come home Tuesday evening!
As they say the first leg is not particularly sleek but I get upgrades when I'm used to this one;)!
